The birth of baby Skyler has finally aired on The Rachel Zoe Project, and it was everything we all expected - full of excessive attention towards style and glamor during one of the most primal human experiences.

Rachel says before the birth: "I know I'm going to be a mess at the hospital, but if I'm going to be a mess, I'm going to be a glamorous mess." She further pontificates in the most typical Zoe dialect: "I'm actually pushing a human out of my body and becoming a mother. Oh my God." When her water breaks, she astounds her husband Roger by immediately styling her hair before they leave for the hospital. One assistant questions her choices: "She's wearing Chanel and Halston to the hospital? Do you think she'll wear, like, those leopard Brian Atwood ankle boots while she's spread-eagle?" Rachel responds to a joke about wearing her heeled thigh-highs during labor: "I don't think my heels will effect my hee hee."

Once they arrive at the hospital, Rachel is able to listen to the baby's heartbeat on her blackberry and the episode heads towards the more heartwarming aspect of Skyler's birth. Underneath all the makeup and designer clothes, Zoe shares some of the most common fears of giving birth: "Visiting the hospital terrified me. I had all these visions of me, like, flying through double doors on a gurney, screaming, pulling Roger's arm out of his socket and, you know, like what you see in the movies." Roger sums up his experience well when he shares the feeling of being a family on the way home from the hospital: "What came over me is the fact that I really have a family. It's not just me and Rach anymore, there's someone else in the backseat."

Rachel Zoe proves once again that you can always be stylish, whether you're nine months pregnant, after your water breaks, or even just after giving birth. Her dedication is at once hilarious, ridiculous and commendable. She is truly dedicated to fashion even when most people would throw it out the window.
