Sex and the City's Kristin Davis (46) revealed last Friday that she adopted a baby girl a few months ago. Gemma Rose came into Kristin's life through a domestic adoption agency. Kristin said to People: "This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed." Gemma is Kristin's first child. The actress is currently unmarried. She was last rumored to be dating a photographer named James Russell.

Kristin has been quoted in the past saying of motherhood: "I'm open. Adoption is wonderful. I think there are many different ways to do it. I'm an only child, so it's hard to picture the whole multi-child situation. Cynthia has two children and it is unbelievable the amount of work involved. I have the most respect for it in the world, but I'm not sure if I'm cut out for it."
