Rene Anglil, Celine's husband, tells Gala magazine in the couple's first interview following the birth of their twins: "We still haven't chosen names. We weren't expecting them to be born that fast and don't really agree on names. We will decide when Celine has taken a rest. And I feel that in the end I will give up and let her choose!"

UPDATE: The babies have been named. Celine and Rene Anglil are now parents to Nelson and Eddy.

The couple also shared details of the big day (Oct. 23rd): "Celine felt very strong contractions in the morning. The doctor called me around 10am and I got here as fast as I could. I found Celine very calm, focused. She didn’t suffer a lot thanks to local anesthesia. It took quite a while but everything went well. I was able to cut the umbilical cords. Celine cried, me too, her mom, Therese, and her sister Linda were with us and also cried…we were so happy!”

Celine laughs off the fact that she had to have a c-section: “I’m going to tell you: if they were born from my ears, as long as they were healthy, I was okay with it.”

On how she feels about a house full of boys: “Honestly if I had a choice, certainly I’d have liked to have a girl. But the day I learned that I was expecting two boys, I wasn’t disappointed. I was filled with happiness.” She says of pregnancy: “Carrying life is more in your heart than in your belly.”

The twins were fraternal and apparently Celine could actually differentiate between them in the womb saying; “One was more active than the other.”

Celine is unconcerned about losing the postpartum weight: “I don’t care about it! I have never had to worry about that. I will not follow a diet because I want to breastfeed my sons. I need to eat well and I will not be doing any acrobatics! And I have an amazing stylist. If we need to get bigger clothes, we will.”

Congratulations to the happy family!
