After a messy divorce that attracted tabloids for months, celebrity mom Kate Gosselin is starting off 2010 with a new hairstyle! Her infamous short, spiky and highlighted locks were a challenge for celebrity stylist Ted Gibson who added some length to Gosselin's new hairstyle.

"Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time," Gibson said. "But in all those hours, she didn't complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested and willing to try just about anything."

Gibson told People that Gosselin was reluctant to let go of her thick bangs that spanned the side of her face, but Gibson explained that once she lets go of her security blanket, she'll embrace the change - sounds like a metaphor for her divorce!
