Usually, when you hear a celebrity’s postpartum weight loss method, you have to laugh because it’s obviously not the truth. It used to be common knowledge that a quick lipo-suction after the elective c-section was the way to go for those with the money to do it. Now, all you hear about is how amazing breastfeeding is at burning calories. While breastfeeding is quite the calorie-burner, it’s probably not going to get you the thin figure needed to, say… model Victoria Secret underwear.
That’s why I was pleased to hear a realistic answer for Alessandra’s amazing postpartum body. She claims to have done cardio and cut out all sugar and bread to get the pounds off after the birth of her daughter Anja (born in August of 2008). Her personal trainer also told sources that she had to do his Brazilian Buttlift work out two hours a day, which combines ballet, squats, lunges and capoeira (a Brazilian art form that combines martial arts and dance). I think it’s fair to say that if you were working out two hours a day, doing martial arts, dance, and cardio – you would be in shape just four months after having a baby too.
This year Alessandra is preparing for her next runway appearance with weights, squats, and lunges, claiming she’s hitting the gym four times a week.
Granted, Alessandra is a model; it is her job to look good. Most moms don’t have the time or the desire to work out this much and cut out bread and sugar. It puts it into perspective, though, in case you are wondering what it takes to look like that four months after having a baby. As for the lack of stretch marks on her body, apparently she is very lucky.
How did you or how do you plan to lose the baby weight?
