Rapper Lil Wayne announced during the BET Hip-Hop Awards the he is expecting his first son in "a couple days." 

"I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me," said Lil Wayne during his acceptance speech for lyricist of the year Saturday night. After his announcement he reminded the crowd to vote this November! He then spent the rest of the show hanging out with friends and performing with N.E.R.D.

Not only did he win Lyricist of the Year but he also won the People's Champ Award and MVP of the Year. He went into the awards with twelve nominations and dedicated his award for MVP to his daughter Reginae. He also said he is about to release a new version of his album released in June, The Carter III, with some new songs added.
