Gwen Stefani under pressure
Pregnant singer Gwen Stefani is under immense media pressure to lose her baby weight as soon as possible after giving birth, according to husband Gavin Rossdale.
The No Doubt star, who is due to give birth to her second child this summer, is feeling the strain of having to shed the pounds gained during her pregnancy and return to her slim pre-baby figure. Her rocker husband sympathizes with his wife's struggle to slim down.
Rossdale says, "Yeah, she does (feel under pressure). I mean, she's just so dedicated and she's just amazing with that stuff (weight loss). It's very hard because everyone's so judged the whole time."
The couple are already parents to a two-year-old son, Kingston.

I feel so sorry for her, I have a 6 month old and I still feel massive, with all the media attention and magazines circling your bad bits for all to see must be awful. Poor lady.

Forget the media! Gwen has been a raging success because of her innovative style and talent, NOT for her body measurements! I hope she stays strong and channels out stupid comments and does what is healthiest for her and her baby. Besides, I wouldn't mind seeing the LAMB line have a few items that cater to a more full figured woman.... perhaps now is the time for that inspiration!

Having a few extra pounds can be beautiful I hope she can feel proud and healthy that she doing the right thing she can sing with the weight don't make her feel bad she's a terrific singer I've always loved her and I always will... no matter what she looks like
she is a great entertainer.

Well, to me ,she wants to be under pressure. She has the right to choose not to be. Its a free world mennn. I as public figure and a leader I used to be under pressure from public and media as well , until I made up my mind dat enough is enough. So its up to her.

I was once under such pressure, cos I am a mother of 3 lovely kids with only one year spacing . It affected me immensly to the point of making me feel dat i ve made a mistake, until I came back to my senses. I ignored everyone and decide to be happy , and enjoy myself. Today all my critics and fans says i look wonderful with my few extra pounds. Y ou can imagine

I can understand. I feel huge!!! and by my husband and compared to movie stars. I have a 3 month only baby girl so I can sympathsize! I have totally lost my identity, as I can not longer fit in anything, and refused to buy a maternity wardrobe (Hence, I am not Gweyn) I am caught inbetween and bitter, it sucks!!!
Anyone hear me????

I think it's a disgrace! What has this world come to where Mothers are being critiqued about their body image and especially while they're with child? What is wrong with people? Apparently these folks aren't mothers and/or never have been. The health of Baby and Mommy are of the upmost importance! In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter what our "Peers" think about how we look? No!!!! Gwen, you're beautiful and it's a true blessing to have a wonderful, supporting and sensitive husband. To those of you who critique, let Jesus be the Judge.

I look at that photo of gwen and she looks so good! She will lose the weight, she live in the world where that is part of her job. But, there is a window where mother and child just need to relax. I think she's smart enough to not let the "media" dictate when and how she will lose the weight. We read all this crap, but she seems like a smart lady and Kingston seems to be healthy and happy.

I think she deserves some time to do as she pleases. I worked my butt off for my entire adult life and just finally had a baby girl in January. Yay! ...and I'm 37

This is a wonderful but also complex world with lovely and awful people, you choose which side you are. If you´re in the lovely side it means you UNDERSTAND human nature, defend live and what is important...if you´re from the awful bunch of people, it means you let the non-important stuff get into your head, hence, you treat others badly, you feel you can JUDGE and let the challenges "crack your system" instead of letting them be opportunities. celebrity or not, if you´re a mom, you should be proud enough and you KNOW it´s not about measuremeants, it´s about attitude, determination and selfesteem...in the end, something good comes out of those and NOTHING good comes out of complaining, wining, critizicing or self-punishing for not having a stereotype body.
