Seven years ago, New York City-based model Liza Elliott-Ramirez formed Expecting Models, the world's first (and only) agency devoted to representing professional models during their pregnancies. The need for expecting models became obvious to her late in her own pregnancy when made the decision to continue modeling. "Interestingly," she says, "I worked more than ever while pregnant."

Once she saw that the industry didn't have readily available sources of mommy-to-be models, she decided to start her own agency to provide top pregnant professional models to the fashion and commercial world. I learned about Liza's agency on the Discovery Health show, Runway Moms. Each episode highlights a different model mom-to-be and her unique pregnancy and birth story. Cameras accompany models on sexy photo shoots and let us in on their secrets to staying fit and glamorous while pregnant. Liza acts as both an agent and confidant to these beautiful girls as they navigate this exciting moment in their lives.
