Not one to let a trend pass her by, pop princess Britney Spears is reportedly jumping on the "Celebrity Adoption Bandwagon". The newly single mother of two is setting her eyes on a four year old tsunami orphan. The boy whose name is Wang is from Bali and lost his entire family in the 2004 Indian Ocean tragedy.

After reading about his plight, sources say Britney instantly wanted to help him and sponsor him until she can find out more. The pop superstar has even written to officials seeking advice. A source revealed, "The tsunami disaster was a tragedy very close to Britney's heart and she has dedicated a lot of her time to its charities." We hear Britney is so serious that she has even contacted Madonna for some advice.

The 25-year-old star's decision to adopt an underprivileged child is part of her plan to make a fresh start in the new year, following her bitter split from Kevin and her wild pantyless nights out. "Britney's had a turbulent year and wants 2007 to be brilliant. As well as wanting to look after little Wang, she is determined to make a music comeback with a difference."

This comes hours after one of her biggest fansites decided to close down due Britney losing her “identity and credibility with fans and industry people.” She can’t even take care of her own 2 children; I don’t see how anyone in their right mind would grant this adoption.
