We especially like this shot of actress Joely Fisher, 39, and her baby girl, True Harlow, who was born in February of this year. Surrounded by eight family members and friends during her six hours of labor without an epidural, Fisher says she wasn't self-conscious at all. "I felt like a superhero."

Congratulations to all women who became mothers in 2006. You're all superheroes in our eyes.
