Sunglasses have gone from being a sun-safe necessity to the essential summer fashion accessory.

Round face
A round face is full with very few angles and often the width is equal to the length. If you have a round face the best sunglasses to suit you will be those which have thicker frames and are wide around the temples. This will mean that the sunglasses will elongate the face and not bring so much emphasis to the roundness. Deep colors will also minimise fullness so try chocolatey browns or the warm reds and pinks in this summer’s eye wear collections.

Oval face
An oval face is a balanced face. The chin will be slightly more narrow than the forehead and those with an oval face will normally also have high cheekbones. Choose sunglasses that are as wide as the largest part of your face to maintain balance and avoid styles that may form heavily v or angular shapes. The best sunglasses for an oval face are likely to have a more square shape to them. Remember it is all about balance so choose frames that are in proportion to the rest of your face

Square face
A square face will have a wide chin and a wide or broad forehead. Oval frames will create curve to the face whilst elongating. Avoid square or rectangular frames which will only focus more on the angles of your face and may make your head seem shorter in proportions.

Heart-shaped face
A heart shaped face typically has a wider forehead, high check bones which then taper down to a smaller chin. Angular or aviator shaped frames will balance a smaller chin whilst rimless style sunglasses seem to naturally suit this shape of face. It’s best to avoid darker colours which may ‘cut up’ the line of the face, instead opt for lighter colours like smokey browns and greys.
